Aside from The Axe’s Edge in the West-Icelandic collection, Gunnars has authored two other collections of short stories. One is set in the dual world of the diasporic experience, and the other is set on the Sunshine Coast of B.C.
A new format for short fiction is also appearing beginning in 2019, which is microfiction or flash fiction, consisting of very short, one-page maximum, condensed fictions that resemble prose poems.
